My
dear wonderful family!
Coming to you from cloudy Japan--we're told rainy season is
going to start soon! Should be exciting! I was actually sick this week so I
slept a lot.
We had some cool activities and such!
Monday, we went to Matsushima! It was beautiful! I got to talk
to people on the trains--it was really fun. I couldn't understand everything
they were saying but Johnson shimai [Sister Johnson] would listen and whisper to me what was
going on or questions I should ask in English so I could keep conversations
going with them. It was so fun!
Tuesday we had district meeting.
Thursday we had training from the APs [assistants to the mission president] (about our Area Books) and
interviews with Rasmussen Kaicho [President Rasmussen]. It was wonderful.
Saturday we had dinner with the Konno family.
Sorry, I really don't have a lot of time--I got locked out of
email for almost our entire email time but I printed off your emails so I was
able to read them. :)
Well, since I don't have much time I will bear my testimony. :)
I know this church is true! I know Jesus Christ is my Savior. I love Him. He
lives. He loves us. Through His gospel we can find true joy and live with our
families together forever. I love missionary work! I love sharing the message
of this gospel.
I was talking to someone this week about the
Atonement and I loved what they said. They talked about how we can use the
enabling power of the Atonement in a cycle to become extraordinary. First, pray
for the help to do something that you can't do by yourself. And then, when it
happens, pray in gratitude. And in this way ordinary people become
extraordinary. I hope I can learn how to do that on my mission so that I can do
that throughout the rest of my life.
I love you all so much! Thank you for all
your emails and love and everything! Sounds like you are up to amazing things!
Mom, I was reading the talk by President Utchdorf this week too!
Zeus is an excellent dog name. Congrats Zach--junior mashall and everything

idea! And going on splits with the Elders!! Wow, 14 youth leaving for
missions!! Candice--ii ne! (That's what they have instead of 'like' on facebook
in Japanese). I'd love to get a postcard from you in England. :)
I love you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love,
Your missionary,
Bellows shimai
